Andrew H. Reekie is the founder of the Brantford YM-YWCA Aquatic Club. This club has won numerous honors, including several Ontario and Canadian championships. Reekie was Sara Barber, Brantford’s Olympic swimmer. Reekie was a member of many different societies for many years. Andrew was termed by the YM-YWCA as “one in a million.” Reekie played a prominent part in the preparation of an Ontario Recreation Commission brief of physical fitness in Canada, which was submitted to the Federal Government.
